It's just you and me, Wordle.  After yesterday’s trouble, I wanted to make sure I came through today’s puzzle, although it turned out that it wouldn’t be right.  Although I have learned a lot from my little ordeal কারণে this kind of unexpected hiccup makes this game so entertaining, and Wordle will always surprise me no matter how many games I play.

Hint for today's word: July 3

We are working on a flower theme today.  The word Sunday can refer to a certain type of small pink-purple flower as well as anything that shares a similar color.  Today's word has three consonants, one of which has been used twice.

Today's answer may be the plural of a four-letter word.

A strategic second guess helps to quickly compress the pool of characters.

The solution may contain repeating characters.

  Learn more about Wordle

Every day Wordle presents you with six rows of five boxes, and it's up to you to find out which secret five-letter word is hidden in them.

You'll want to start with a strong word (opens in a new tab) such as ALERT— that doesn't contain multiple vowels, common consonants, and no repetitive characters.  Press Enter and the boxes will show you which characters you got right or wrong  If a box turns️,

it means the letter is not in the secret word.  🟨 means the letter is in the word, but not in that position.  🟩 means you got the right letter in the right place.

You'll want to compliment the first one on your second, using another "good" word to cover the common characters you missed last time, and trying to avoid any characters you don't know in today's answer.

Then just compress your guesses into the right words to use what you have learned.  You have a total of six attempts and can only use real words (so do not fill in the boxes with EEEEE to see if there is an E).  Don’t forget that letters can also repeat (e.g., books).

Feel free to check out our Wordle Tips (opens in a new tab) if you need any further suggestions, and if you want to find out which words have already been used you'll find them in our Wordle archive (opens in a new tab))

Originally, Wordl was dreamed up by software engineer Josh Wardl (opens in a new tab), as a surprise to his partner who likes word games.  From there it spread to his family and was eventually released to the public.

The word puzzle game has since inspired countless games like Wordle (opens in new tabs), re-focusing everyday gimmicks around music or math or geography.

Before Wardal became so popular, it was sold to the New York Times for seven issues (opened in a new tab).  Of course it is only a matter of time before we all communicate in a tricolor box.
